Doing my bit for charity – Jo C’s features in Norfolk’s Own Cook Book
I was really thrilled when I was asked to provide a recipe for Norfolk’s very own cook book, ‘Everything Stops for Tea’, which is the brainchild of the lovely Mary Kemp, Vanessa Scott and Melinda Raker. All the contributors paid to have their recipes featured in the self-funding book, all the proceeds from which are going to Marie Curie, the charity which provides care and support for people suffering from terminal illness. The books cost just £20, and every sale equates to an hour’s care from a Marie Curie nurse. My recipe was for the Jo C’s Norfolk Ale Fruit Loaf made with my very own Bitter Old Bustard, and features on P17 of the cook book, which you can buy from numerous outlets all over Norfolk, including The Crown Hotel in Wells. I even got to demonstrate my recipe when I appeared at Mary’s cookery theatre for the Royal Norfolk Show. There’s some fantastic recipes inside the cook book, so get buying!. Well done Mary, Vanessa and Melinda! For more details about the book project click here.
