All hail to the ale as Norwich celebrates the beauty of beer

For the third year running I was delighted to attend the Brewers’ Market at Norwich’s fantastic City of Ale event. Despite being soaked through to the skin following some early morning cloudbursts as I was setting up my stall for the market, which was held on the concourse outside the wonderful Forum building, the sun eventually came out and I had a really enjoyable day chatting to beer lovers from across the globe, including the USA, Canada, Germany and Italy. It was lovely to chat to everyone and catch up with fellow brewers from Adnams, Winter’s, Golden Triangle, Wolf, Norfolk Brewhouse and the great people from Norwich CAMRA, who also had stalls. Later that evening I hosted a ‘Meet the Brewster’ session in the back room of The Plasterers Arms in Cowgate as part of the FEM.ALE Festival. There I met some real beer devotees, including beer sommelier Jane Peyton and Cassandra Orford from Fuller’s. The Plasterers is a cracking community pub and it was lovely to see so many ale lovers enjoying themselves.
