GREAT NEWS FOR ALL BEER LOVERS!
It is with great pride and excitement that we can announce, that the West Barsham Estate has gone into the brewing business.
We are delighted to reveal that in doing so, our first move has been to bring back the range of award-winning real ales created by our friend and former tenant, Jo Coubrough.
Production of Jo’s highly prized beers – Norfolk Kiwi, Bitter Old Bustard, Knot Just Another IPA and Stout Robin – have already recommenced under our new Barsham Brewery banner.
They are still being made with top quality barley from the West Barsham Estate – recognised as some of the finest in the land – and the beautifully pure water from our own borehole.
In order to ensure they are being produced to the exacting standard expected by lovers of her ales, Jo herself has agreed to help oversee the brewing operation.
The Barsham Brewery has big plans for the future and we are delighted that Jo will be partnering with us, allowing us to tap into her great knowledge.
We are starting production of Jo C’s ales at Barsham Brewery in cask, mini casks and bottles.
In the near future we will be adding new beers of our own, and also plan to launch our own range of spirits and lagers.
Our family has owned and farmed the land at West Barsham for over 100 years, and we are truly excited to be adding this new venture to our business portfolio.
We have always been keen to explore new opportunities on the Estate and when Jo announced she was laying down her last sack of hops to concentrate on home life, it made perfect sense to take up the mantle where she had left it.
Look out for our new distinctive brand colours, the Barsham Blue and Brown. These originate from Susanna’s grandfather’s racing colours and are a key part of the heritage of the West Barsham Estate.
We hope you’ll wish us all the best in our foray into pastures new, and that it won’t be long before you can raise a glass of Jo C’s at Barsham Brewery in doing so!
Jeremy and Susanna Soames.
